BSW Heating Limited appointed by Islington Council

We are delighted to have won the contract to refurbish the plant room in Highbury Grove for Islington Council. The works involve the replacement of the boiler and all associated building and electrical works. We have worked with the team at Islington on the boiler refurbishment project at Islington’s Town Hall and are looking forward to working with them again.

Dartford Civic Centre project is handed over

Our project to refurbish the roof top boiler room at Dartford’s Civic Centre has been handed over. The works included replacing the inefficient 40-year-old cast iron sectional boilers. We installed energy saving Remeha Gas 220 Ace condensing boilers. These free-standing boilers are lightweight and easy to move in to position. The boilers have all connections and pipework entering from the top which provided us with flexibility as to how they were positioned. We were able to speedily install the four boilers side by side. The small footprint of these boilers has provided easier access in the boiler room and will simplify future maintenance and servicing. Paul Koster, Building Manager at Dartford Borough Council, is happy with the result “The difference in size and functionality of the boilers is amazing. We now have total control over the heating system and hope to see a significant saving in running costs”.

Supporting our community.

We recently donated unwanted desks to our neighbouring school Kenley Primary. The school were delighted with the desks and have used them for their teachers.

This is not the first time we have supported our local school. During last year’s summer holiday, we cleared the school’s old Trim Trail apparatus to make way for new. The school were grateful for our help. Kim Jones, School Business Manager, said “You have done a sterling job and without you we probably would not have made it happen.” Our endeavours even got a mention in the school’s newsletter.

On the same day our Commercial Maintenance Manager visited the school’s boiler room to complete a small maintenance task free of charge. The school had received a recent insurance inspection which had highlighted an issue with how the safety valves had been mounted. Following a quick inspection we were able to correct the issue.
